Stolen: A M/M Shifter Romance (River Den Omegas Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 806 ratings

The world of the shifters was fading, until an alpha and omega fell in love and everything changed.

Seth is having the worst week of his life. His father has been attacked and Lucas, his younger brother, is missing. His uncle thinks they should give Lucas up for dead but Seth isn’t prepared to do that, leaving to track Lucas down with the help of his cousin, Hunter. Only his brother has been taken by Zane, the crazy alpha who tried to steal Hunter’s mate. They track Zane as far as an abandoned lighthouse where they hope to find Lucas. Instead, they find an omega. Zane’s omega, locked up like Rapunzel in a tower.

Dara is trapped, stuck in a lighthouse with no way out. But escape would be meaningless without his brother, held hostage by Zane. Dara would do anything to keep Max safe, which is how he’s wound up pregnant and hidden away. When two alphas break into his tower and plan to steal him away, he’s determined to keep quiet about what he knows and not break Zane’s rules. But the connection he feels to Seth is more than skin deep and suddenly being stolen doesn’t seem like such a terrible prospect. Not if it means they can save both their brothers. Not if it means a chance for him to find love.

Stolen is a novel-length read. Beware happy endings, some angst, mpreg, littermates, paint throwing, and scenes not suitable for readers under the age of eighteen.

Claire Cullen is an author and aspiring baker. Since she was a toddler, she has loved making up stories. Getting them down on paper proved a challenge in the early years when her preferred medium was finger puppets. She moved on to pen and paper, and later to keyboards, and hasn't looked back since, except for occasional bouts of nostalgia.

Claire loves to write strong, Alpha males with protective streaks a mile wide and counterpoint them with love interests with the inner strength to survive the trials life has thrown at them.

Most of all, Claire loves a happy ever after (but she'll be content with a happy for now).

Book Two of the River Den Omega series was just as entertaining as the first, with the same great detail to the characters and the storyline. A wonderful introduction to the new couple, as well as building on characters from the previous book.

Great read.

Seth is a non shifting Alpha who is very young, still pretty carefree and devoted to helping his cousin. When his Alpha Father is attacked and his young brother Lucas kidnapped, he blames himself for not being home. Dara a shifter Omega and his brother Max a shifter Alpha have been being held captive for months. Seth and his cousin Hunter while on the trail of the kidnapped Lucas, stumble upon the captured Dara. THIS is where the story begins its many twists, turns and revelations. This is a sometimes sad but always loving and caring in its approach story. All the characters are fantastic. There is humor, emotional understanding and no problem is too small. And don't get me started on them babies, I could read a story of them doing nothing but shifting!! This is the second book in the River Den Omegas. It is just as FASCINATING and amazing as the first book. I believe this is going to be another Claire Cullen classic. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS INCREDIBLE SERIES!!!!!

It’s such a different take on shifters. Multiple species; dying packs completely unconnected from their history; a different take on fated mates and the magic of omegas. It hasn’t lost my interest. 2 books in 24 hours; now ready for the third.

***3.5 stars***

While I’m okay with having some unanswered questions in the end, this book seemed to have too many unresolved issues to assume they will be answered in the next book. Especially when the certain ones pertain to the two MCs. In addition, some of the time/detail that was in the first book wasn’t as strong in this story, which was a bummer for me.

The plot starts with an intriguing bit of drama when Zane (whom we know to be a horrid person) visits an obvious prisoner in a lighthouse. At that point, I actually had to go re-read Chosen because I had forgotten so many of the relationships and connections. That re-read was worth the time.

So the situation in the lighthouse is full of tension. Then we find out that Lucas (Seth's brother) has been stolen. This sets Seth and Hunter on a course for rescue, which is a journey full of danger. My stomach was in knots at times. So this book is not only Seth and Dara's story, but it's about the rescue of Lucas and Max. The plan for rescue is daring but clever. During that part of the story, I held my breath at times. I know none of this is realistic; they are SHIFTERS, for heaven's sake. Doesn't matter. It was a story that wrapped itself around my brain and had me completely engrossed. Until it ended and I immediately downloaded Hunted.

When the Red Fang pack mortally wounds his father and kidnaps his young brother, Seth goes searching for him. He ends up rescuing Cade's brother Dara. Gradually, they realize that they are mates and struggle to figure out how to manage their relationship. In the end, they reach their HEA, after much drama. This book ties up some of the loose ends from book 1 and is hard to put down. Book 3 is next on my TBR.

...and not so much the pure heat.
This is one of those times: a strong plot line about survival, enduring & sustaining faith, family, and fate.
And yes, it IS also about a slow-burn steamy relationship, too, between a (new) Alpha and the omega he rescues, and who rescues him.
Last but not least, it’s about the renewal of a community and the hope that brings to a greater world. As to whether that hope is justified? Well, that’s for “River Den Omegas Book 3”, I think. (And hope!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable series

I enjoyed the first book, and loved this one too. The worldbuilding is really what intrigues me the most about this series - how the packs, dens and the different shifter types (A/B/O) work. It's well developed and has a great flow.

Character wise, we see more of Seth and finally get to meet the missing Dara and Max. I loved seeing this side of Seth after he was such a great support to Hunter in the first book. He was well matched with Dara and I loved that they had chemistry (something I felt was missing from the first book). Their journey wasn't a smooth one, especially given Seth's father was dying, his brother kidnapped, and then Dara having been kidnapped himself along with his brother Max. Lots of feelings and memories to work through, but they did it together.

Looking forward to reading more in the series, and seeing more shifter babies too (so cute!).
